My clients describe me as:

patient, kind, and thoughtful. I am a less directive therapist, meaning I will follow your lead. Many clients also comment on my beard.

Something to know about my approach is:

it's relationally-based. I believe therapy is not effective unless the client has a good relationship with his/her/their therapist, so I will really take the time to build trust and communication with you. I strive to be encouraging.

I specialize in working with people who:

Are working through trauma, depression, stress, adjustment, or anxiety. Feel "stuck," whatever that means to them. Identify as male (although I also work with many women and non-binary individuals). Present with so-called "men's issues".

I became a therapist because:

Many reasons, but partly because my high school guidance counselor had a hugely positive impact on me as a teen.

Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:

we have free parking and good snacks! :) I love tea, plants, and art, so you will notice a lot of that around my office.

I'm a founding partner and managing clinician at City Counseling Center. We believe everyone deserves to feel understood and that a key component to understanding people lies in supporting a diversity of human experience.
