My clients describe me as:
kind, compassionate, and patient. We create the therapeutic space together in a way that is non-judgmental and allows us to explore heavy burdens.
Something to know about my approach is:
I approach therapy through a non-pathologizing, trauma-informed, and harm reduction lens and understand that the client is the expert of their own experience. I view the clinical relationship as a tool for healing.
Together, we will:
build skills in navigating systemic oppression, identity, trauma, relationships, mental health issues, chronic pain and self-esteem. We will work towards empowerment through building self-awareness, compassion and nourishing the mind body connection.
I specialize in working with people who:
are curious about themselves and their experiences. We are always learning about who we are and who we want to be. I also specialize in working with people who carry heavy burdens, narratives, or mental health issues looking for relief or change.
I became a therapist because:
I witnessed how having some one be present and hold space for someone can be lifechanging, and I wanted to provide that space for others.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
my physical office has a beautiful wall of windows that lets in a ton of natural light. I provide therapy both through telehealth and in-person means.
More about me and my practice:
As a multiracial queer individual, I have often reflected on my understanding of identity. I recognize that there are few safe spaces for individuals to explore intersectionality, and I work to make sure that people feel seen and heard in my therapy.
