Joelle Ellsworth

Hello, and welcome! My name is Joelle Ellsworth, LLMSW, and I am currently accepting new clients at Butterfly Path Therapy. I provide compassionate virtual sessions where meaningful work can happen from the comfort of home, often with a blanket, tea, or a pet nearby.

Together we will unpack your experiences and learn new skills to help you start feeling better. I enjoy supporting caring people experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, and perfectionism as they build self-compassion, confidence, and healthier boundaries.

My clients would describe me as kind, patient, and easy to talk to. They often say they feel safe opening up to me and appreciate that I balance compassionate listening with thoughtfulness.

I support adults navigating anxiety, depression, perfectionism, low self-esteem, and life transitions. Many of my clients feel stuck in cycles of overthinking, fear of failure, people-pleasing, difficult relationship patterns, or trauma connected to family and relationships.

What I love most about this work is helping people find relief while building a kinder relationship with themselves. My approach is DBT-forward, person-centered, and strengths-based. We’ll build practical skills, explore patterns in thoughts, relationships, attachment, family dynamics, and personality, and practice acceptance without judgment or shame. I’ll help you understand yourself more deeply, live by your values, and recognize the strengths you already carry.
