Clients have described me as someone who creates the space for them to speak their mind and unlearn unhelpful narratives holding them back.
My approach is informed by my background in clinical social work. I treat my client's stressors from a contextual lens that integrates the individual, intersectional, and environmental impact of your identities, your environment, and past history.
Together we will identify both conscious and unconscious narratives impacting your relationships with others and with yourself. Having secure relationships where you are seen and heard rewires our nervous systems to heal from distressing life events.
Struggle to show up for themselves in the same way that they show up for others. I also work with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folks trying to take up more space in their life and relationships.
From the minute we're born, we're wired for connection. I believe that meaningful connections promote joy, creativity, and mental health.
I flexibly offer therapy in a traditional office setting and online.
In addition to therapy, I also teach at Hunter College and Fordham. I'm a lifelong learner and try to bring as much of it into my work with clients. I am also a bilingual English/Spanish therapist.
