My clients describe me as:
Warm, Transparent, Knowledgeable, Honest and direct (with compassion, not harshness)
Something to know about my approach is:
I am client centered meaning we will go at your pace working as a team on issues you identify. I am also trauma focused - I have several tools to navigate you through resolving trauma without letting therapy re-traumatize you.
Together, we will:
stabilize emotions that are too intense or volatile using mindfulness activities and healing past wounds to give you more control over your life. We will also use tools for challenging and correcting false self beliefs.
I specialize in working with people who:
struggle with depression, anxiety, loneliness, or trauma (including complex and religious traumas). I help clients navigate trauma or resolve feelings of depression/anxiety and thrive with the lives and relationships they desire.
I became a therapist because:
I believe we can all heal and grow and I want to help others find the resources for healing that have helped me.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I'm close to NSU in the Abel Chiropractor office building. With a park nearby I offer walk-and-talk therapy if sitting and talking isn't your thing.
More about me and my practice:
Though it's a small town, I am new to OK so I probably don't have connections with folks you know if that's a concern for you. My first degree was in fine art and I enjoy working with other creatives around the unique issues we face in our work.
