Current openings on Tuesday and Wednesday morning to evenings and Thursday mornings
My clients describe me as:
a compassionate, nonjudgmental listener who guides them in finding their individual answers to their concerns in a safe space.
Something to know about my approach is:
Therapy is a collaborative process. I may have experience and training to help guide you, however you are the expert on you by bringing your knowledge, experience and hard-work into the equation. Change does not happen without both parts.
Together, we will:
start where you are at and we will work to move past the obstacles that make life difficult. We will work together to get you to the authentic life you want through learning new skills, creating new habits, and letting go of the unhelpful past.
I specialize in working with people who:
have experienced traumas or negative life events. I find that people who have these experiences often struggle with trust and intimacy (physical, emotional, and sexual). All of these aspects of life can be rebuilt and healed.
I became a therapist because:
it was the natural progression of my career focusing on helping. I started as a vocational coach, then a special ed teacher, and now therapist.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I have been providing teletherapy prior to the Covid pandemic. Teletherapy is my intended place to provide therapy to overcome logistical barriers
More about me and my practice:
it is teletherapy only. Teletherapy helps remove some of the barriers to getting to your appointment (time, parking, traffic, specialists in your area, knowing people in the waiting room, etc) and lets you focus on the important part - the therapy .
