Amber Miles

Welcome—I’m Dr. Amber Miles, a Licensed Psychologist offering doctoral-level therapy for teens and adults across Maryland and Texas. If you or your teen are looking for one hour each week that’s just for you—a place to breathe, reset, and make sense of everything you’re carrying—you’re in the right spot.

Together we will look at what’s been hard, slow things down, and make sense of the stress and overwhelm you’ve been carrying. We’ll find what helps you feel calmer and more in control, and take small steps that add up to a life that feels more like your own.

Clients tell me they feel lighter, understood, and more grounded after our sessions. Teen clients often say I “get it,” and that it feels easy to talk with me without judgment. My goal is to help you (or your teen) feel supported, more sure of yourself, and able to handle life with a little more confidence and peace.

I work especially with teen girls and women navigating anxiety, stress, perfectionism, people-pleasing, big feelings, relationship struggles, and the emotional load that comes with trying to keep everyone else happy. I also support clients healing from trauma or long-standing patterns that feel hard to change.

I believe everyone should be able to access high-quality psychotherapy. I know that when you're going through a difficult time, the cost of therapy can feel like an added stress, so I accept some insurance plans to help make care more accessible. If you have insurance I accept, typically you’ll just pay your copay for each session.
