My clients would describe me as sincere, empathetic, easy-going, and funny. I try to create a casual, yet supportive space to talk.
I come from a Person-Centered approach, meaning that I view the client as the expert on their own experiences. I prefer to let the client guide the session. I might have things to say here and there, but I start out by listening intently.
Together, we can explore whatever issues you bring to the session at your own pace. - without judgment. We'll look at those and brainstorm on ideas and strategies that we can take on together.
I specialize in working with the following issues: depression, anxiety, bipolar, life changes, LGBTQ+, transgender people, relationship issues, sexual abuse, domestic violence, hoarding, hospice and end-of-life care, job stress, and autism.
I became a therapist because I love people. I'm curious and engaged with my clients.
I offer therapy online. Like many of us, I work from home.
During the intake (first appointment), I'll have some questions for you. If you're not comfortable answering a question, just let me know and we'll talk about something else.
