I recognize personal growth and change is a complicated endeavor. I emphasize meeting someone where they are at in therapy. For instance, some clients come to therapy with some insight from a previous therapist, some come to therapy not knowing where to begin and some return to therapy to try something different because the past issues are still persisting.

Together we will work on self determined goals. We will identify the barriers to achieving your goals. We will collaborate on a plan that is suitable for your wants and needs. Ultimately, we will work together helping you achieve what you want in your life and make changes to increase your ability to make lasting change.

My clients would describe me as thoughtful, flexible, empathetic, friendly, invested, and, an ability to take multiple angles on therapeutic issues.

I specialize in working with people who have lived through traumatic events in their lives. In particular, those that come from abusive homes. I tend to be therapist for those that have been in therapy before but still do not have relief from the past.

I became a therapist because I had therapists in the past that helped me move forward in life. Also, I saw it as a way to combine my love for philosophy and psychology to help others. This was not my first career. I spent my 20´s in Austin playing in various bands and working odd jobs to make ends meet.

I am highly open minded and being a therapist is never boring for me. I have evolved far from where I started as a therapist in 2012. My practice has shifted to focusing on trauma as a specialization with EMDR. In my off time you will find me spending time with my wife, autistic teenage son and learning something new to help my clients.
