I provided and supervised crisis services for 10 years, so nothing really throws me. I make a point to address the whole person, and particularly in respecting your right to set your goals, and choose what you want to share and when.

I like breaking down problems, or feelings, discovering what your real needs & values are, and then making a plan to intentionally making yourself into the person you want to be. Things are overwhelming when they stay tangled up together.

I'm relaxed, patient, and informative. I don't want to be the Wizard of Oz doing magic behind a curtain; I'll work to teach you how to treat yourself.

Have trouble communicating, or even knowing, exactly what they're thinking or feeling. I've had significant experience with gifted teens, self-injury, depression, trauma, dissociative disorders, and survivors of female sexual perpetrators.

I always wanted to help people, but in high-school I met someone with significant trauma and watched her recovery. It made me optimistic for everyone.
