I approach counseling much the same way I approach horses: mindfully, realistically, and sometimes with a bit of humor. I know counseling can seem like a daunting thing, so my goal is to make your therapeutic experience as inviting, collaborative, and individualized as possible, whether we're meeting virtually or standing in a paddock with one of the horses.

Figuring out how to get unstuck on your own can be difficult; let me help you gain the tools, skills, and resilience to navigate the different paths life can take you down. As a counselor, I strive to help my clients live fully and presently, with the ability to handle whatever may come their way.

My clients would tell you that I'm "real" and always show up to sessions as myself. I bring a mix of kindness and validation, as well as straightforwardness and honesty. I'll hold space for you in an open, non-judgmental way while also challenging you to look deeper (when the time is right).

While I see a wide variety of issues, my niche, specialty areas are equestrian-related issues (performance anxiety, fear after a traumatic fall, professional burnout, etc.), and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. I wanted a career that allowed me to give back to the communities that I'm a part of, as well as fill in the gaps in those communities that I could see. I want to be the person that I needed at different points in my life but struggled to find, and I want to help make mental health less scary.

Outside of the horse and equestrian related services, other areas and demographics that I have a passion for (but I'm not limited to) are: pet loss grief, teens, women's issues, helping men learn about their emotions, trauma/PTSD, neurodivergence, life transitions, and anxiety disorders.
