Hi! My name is Lana, and I use an eclectic approach in practice, combining multiple areas of expertise to suit your needs. I often draw from humanistic-existentialist, narrative, psychodynamic approaches in the exploration of self and addressing barriers to living the authentic life you want. I offer "walk and talk" therapy in-person when appropriate, too.

Prioritize empathy, establishing safety, compassion, and building a strong rapport and therapeutic relationship to facilitate positive change. I endeavor to explore with you your unique experiences, contexts, connections with others and the world around us. In this space to heal, we can foster resiliency, promote healing, and achieve self-discovery.

I specialize in working with those who are experiencing agoraphobia, anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, self-esteem or identity issues, grief and chronic pain, among other concerns. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and enjoy working with clients along the spectrum of neurodiversity, disability, and giftedness.

I found therapy immensely helpful myself as a teen/young adult struggling with social anxiety, agoraphobia, and identity issues. Between my lived experience and wanting to help people in general, I decided to pursue the field of behavioral health after making the changes in my life that I needed to. I find it an honor and privilege to be in this role.

I entered the field in 2020, started working in community/crisis intervention with the fire dept's CARES team and as an intern psychotherapist. I also have extensive experience facilitating peer support groups for LGBTQ+ folks and in legislative advocacy. I opened Cicada Mental Health to offer full-time therapy in 2022 and have been serving WA clients since.
