I feel some of the primary focuses should be on gaining self-compassion, learning new skills to help you in the hear and now, and understanding where some of the unhealthy thoughts and life patterns come from during your therapy sessions.

My biggest takeaway from therapy was how crucial the therapeutic relationship is; so much more work, growth, and healing can be done when you feel safe with your therapist, when you feel they really see you and understand you.

I am eclectic when it comes to my approach, I utilize solution-focused and narrative therapy as I do believe clients have the power to rewrite the story of what they want their lives to be moving forward in their healing journey.
