I use a nonjudgmental, Person-Centered, Strengths-Based approach. I find that identifying what strengths you already have can help with a sense of empowerment. I also use CBT, DBT and Trauma-Focused therapy techniques when fitting to your goals.
Identify the distorted thoughts that trigger your anxiety. Develop healthy coping strategies to help manage depression. Process underlying trauma to unburden your mind and body. Challenge distorted thinking and replace it with loving beliefs.

My approach is centered on compassion and collaboration. I am open, warm and will help you navigate your mental health journey. My goal is to assist you in exploring the sources of your pain, and provide strategies to help manage your symptoms.
unstick old, stuck patterns and free up your available energy so that you can grow, change, and thrive rather than just survive. Therapy should help you renew (or grow) your self-compassion so that you are better equipped to move into a new future.

My approach incorporates concrete techniques from somatic approaches as well as elements of cognitive therapy, mindfulness, and insight-oriented therapy. Therapy is highly personalized depending on your specific needs, preferences, and history.
Find new ways to handle mental health symptoms and emotions so that you can move forward in your life in a way that you feel good about. Reaching out for help can be intimidating, but it's not something you have to do alone.

In sessions we focus a lot on looking at changing how we think while learning new skills. I also prioritize therapy being a team effort and will participate in our conversations as appropriate, including sharing feedback if you want it.
Together we will work to unpack what brought you here, what you are experiencing now, and how we can understand what the path forward looks like. We will talk about your early development, social relationships, mood, wishes, career, sexuality, etc.

My primary therapeutic orientation is relational psychodynamic. This means I am interested in getting to know all about your past, your present, and your goals for the future. I believe our early relationships are templates for our symptoms.
