About Me:

  • My clients describe me as:

My clients feel that I am compassionate, understanding, insightful but simultaneously give honest and direct feedback. I am pretty active in sessions.

  • Something to know about my approach is:

I am eclectic. I do not use a one-size-fits all approach but cater to the individual and their specific treatment goals. I pull from CBT, DBT, existentialism, mindfulness, solution-focused and psychodynamic therapies.

  • Together, we will:

We will target any problems you have come to treatment for first, then we will work on general life happiness/satisfaction, building gratitude, staying present and ensuring that you are where you want to be in your life.

  • I specialize in working with people who:

I specialize in helping people who feel 'othered' in some way (culturally/racially speaking, gender/sexuality, feeling like a misfit in some way in their community or more generally in the world).

  • I became a therapist because:

I experienced many adverse life experiences earlier in life. This shifted my career path from music to psychology so that I could help others too.

  • Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:

I have a quaint, quiet home office in South Boulder. It's a 5-10 minute walk from Viele Lake/Harlow Platts Park.

  • More about me and my practice:

I believe in scientific research. Psychology researchers have shown that one of the best indicators of a successful outcome in therapy is a good fit between therapist and client.
