Something to know about my approach is:
I use a body-mind approach called Somatics. By slowing down, we pay attention to physical sensations, movements, and breath. This helps us learn and practice skills to process stress, anxiety, and trauma in order to feel more present and grounded.
Together, we will:
Explore how anxiety, stress and burnout are present in the body. We will use somatic practices to increase the capacity to feel your emotions in a more manageable way and feel calmer and grounded. We will work to move towards more aliveness and joy.
I specialize in working with people who:
Identify as BIPOC and folks from different diasporas that are feeling stressed, burnout, and anxious. Folks that are feeling tired from living in oppressive structures and want make space to heal trauma and feel more creative, joyful and satisfied.
I became a therapist because:
I've always been curious of the inner workings of the mind and heart in people and feel moved to honor the parts of us that move towards healing.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
We can work together via Teletherapy in any location in California. I've adapted body-mind practices for virtual work and it's effective as in person.
