Warm, helpful, and non judgmental. We get right to the heart of what you are wanting help with on the first session. Your therapy goals are our focus.
I have over 25 years of experience helping people with a range of mental health issues. I have help people dealing with common concerns, like life transitions, depression and anxiety. Specialties: LGBTQIA+ and transgender/nb identities & trauma.
Discuss what success in therapy means to you--I want to hear more about how you will know when you are ready to move on from therapy. We talk about your family, work/school, relationship dynamics, strengths and ongoing struggles.
Are learning about thinking deeply about their gender or sexuality and want a therapist with a high level of experience with LGBTQIA+ folks including their spouses and loved ones. We work together on building self-understanding and building community
Even as a little kid I wanted to be in a "helping" profession.I became set on being a therapist after I had a great experience, as a teen, in therapy.
Our work together is flexible--some people meet me weekly and others choose every other week. I can meet hybrid meaning we can meet sometimes in person in Oakland and other times online--depending on your schedule and needs.
