Knowledgeable, safe, creative, and responsive to their needs.
I like to use whatever content you bring to the session to help you reach your goals. You'll be surprised at how we tie things together and make it all make sense, so that you can take the next steps when you're outside of my office.
Get crystal clear about your goals, create your treatment plan together, and then walk the path we've laid out. My goal is to work myself out of a job, most of my clients are able to take long breaks from weekly therapy within 3-6 months.
can't calm down, even when there's "nothing" to be stressed about...people who help all day long and don't know why they can't leave work at work...and people who have a bad experience that just won't leave them alone, no matter what they try.
I have always been the type of person who is curious about why people do what they do, and how to help people do what they want and need to do.
The environment. You'll be in a private space, with easy parking, coffee or tea if you forget your caffeine, or telehealth if you prefer to be home.
If you can't clear out one hour every single week, ask about doing an intensive schedule. We'd meet for 6 hours within 1 week, then take a few weeks off to let you integrate everything! The people who've done it, swear by it!
