Clients usually note that I have a calm demeanor which puts them at ease, and allows them to occupy the emotional space in the room.
When we work together, it's as two partners collaborating -- not as an expert advising a client. It's my job to be curious about how you see the world, and to support you in clarifying and emphasizing the strengths you already have.
Together, we can re-author your story. We can form an alliance against the challenges that brought you to therapy, and look for opportunities for change.
My clients often struggle with depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety, substance use, grief, perfectionism, self-esteem issues, or symptoms associated with ADHD or mood disorders like bi-polar disorder.
I experienced a traumatic loss and prolonged grief when I was an adolescent, I and hope to be the support person that I needed and didn't have.
Teens who seek my care are often seeking relief, and a safe space to share their experiences with someone who works exclusively with teens.
