My clients describe me as:
collaborative, funny, compassionate and genuine. My client's appreciate my upfront approach and quick reflex for half-truths. They know I truly care!
Something to know about my approach is:
I treat trauma through the lens of mind/body connection. I primarily use EMDR, which bridges the trauma stored in your body/mind/spirit to allow healing, CBT, which helps you identify and replace unhealthy thoughts, and DBT to teach coping skills
Together, we will:
There will likely be laughter and tears, difficult conversations, "Aha" moments, and a challenge to be honest with yourself. We will connect to create a calm/safe space. You will re-learn confidence, re-train unhealthy attachments and learn coping.
I specialize in working with people who:
Feel alone, disconnected, misunderstood and hopeless. They have experienced trauma and struggled to cope and make sense of it all. I help my clients find hope and minimize the hold trauma has had on their lives.
I became a therapist because:
Serving with the Army in Iraq reinforced my passion to help others, showing me the complex way the human experience affects individuals long term.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
Teletherapy provides an opportunity for therapy to be more comfortable and accessible to you. Trauma therapy, EMDR, CBT, DBT are effectively used.
More about me and my practice:
I understand how important our relationship and "fit" is for therapy to work. This is why I offer a free 15 minute consultation. Call or email me today to schedule.
