My clients describe me as:
Caring, non-judgmental, knowledgable, and truly interested in my clients and what is going on with them.
Something to know about my approach is:
Initially we sit down together and discuss you and your needs and goals. My approach honors the innate worth and wisdom of all human beings and is collaborative. The treatment I offer is evidence-based, and uses mindfulness as a component.
Together, we will:
Identify specific goals that YOU want to work on. Formulate a plan which includes you practicing skills and new behaviors at home. I enjoy focusing on relationships, caregiver issues, and addiction. The focus is on your identified goals and needs.
I specialize in working with people who:
May be struggling with balancing their own self care along with caring for loved ones. Family who may be struggling with a loved one's alcohol or drug use. Folks who are using alcohol and drugs and are ready to seek help with stopping.
I became a therapist because:
I think therapists all have personal reasons for getting into the profession, and for me, this is definitely true. The short answer is helping people.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
While I do have an office, I am seeing clients exclusively via video sessions during the Covid-19 outbreak. I can see folks from all of California.
More about me and my practice:
I am actively engaged in growing and marketing my new private practice and ultimately would like to supervise MSW interns and give back to the profession of social work.
