We use a decolonized, trauma-informed lens that prioritizes nervous system regulation. Moving beyond pathology, we use EMDR, IFS, and somatic techniques to understand the logic of your adaptations. Our work is depth-oriented and symbolic, focusing on attachment, grief, and identity without clinical coldness or empty platitudes.

Navigate inherited pain to reclaim your ethical agency. We will identify protective parts, soften the grip of trauma, and process frozen experiences through sensory and imaginal work. The goal is not a redemptive arc that erases history, but a functional integration where the past no longer dictates your present safety or self-worth.

I believe genuine strength does not require cruelty. Having navigated the intersections of my own lineage and identity, I saw the need for a clinical space that treats symbolism as a legitimate epistemology and survival as an act of intelligence. I am driven to help others find the restraint and care that defines true power.

Open Minds Therapy is a Delaware group practice including Kevin Daniels, LCSW, Jillian Wiggins, LPC, and Elizabeth Scheer, LPC. We work with ages 9–100, specializing in grief and trauma. We operate with the conviction that harm does not justify harm, holding research literacy and embodied knowing with equal reverence for your healing journey.
