My clients say that I am change oriented, non-judgmental, honest direct and funny when appropriate.
Something to know about my approach is:
I have learned through my practice that language is incredibly important. The words we use, and the messages we tell ourselves, mold how we see ourselves and our ability to take ownership of our lives.
Together, we will:
I believe that therapy is a collaborative effort. Together we will identify what you see as the obstacles to your happiness and find ways to remove or go around those obstacles to help you find a way to live the life you are meant to live.
I specialize in working with people who:
I believe I do well with people who feel hopeless but really want not to. I help them to understand that no feeling , no matter how bad, is permanent and we have the ability to change ourselves and our place in the world.
I became a therapist because:
I love people and am amazed by their resiliency. It is my way of being a part of the change that I'd love to see in the world.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
Presently , during COVID, I am only offering Tele-therapy, but normally my office is bright and full of windows. It is also very colorful.
More about me and my practice:
I am originally from New York and received my Masters in Social work from NYU. I've worked in several community mental health clinics dealing with a large variety of mental health issues. I now bring that experience to my private practice.
