My clients describe me as:
relatable and easy to talk to. When you get to know me you'll find out I'm obsessed with Harry Potter and I love animals!
Something to know about my approach is:
I'm very conversational. We may start off talking about the lasagna you made over the weekend but before you know it, we're digging into childhood. My approach is gentle, and I'll never force you to talk about something you're uncomfortable with.
Together, we will:
do whatever we can to make sure you're living your best life. I enjoy helping people find ways to feel their emotions in a manageable way, as opposed to avoiding emotions. You might cry in our sessions and that's okay. All emotions are welcome.
I specialize in working with people who:
experience anxiety at all levels, have relationships issues, such as difficulty setting boundaries, and young adults who may be struggling with career or college choices. I am also certified in perinatal mental health.
I became a therapist because:
I'm an introvert, so I prefer listening to talking. When I do talk, it's something I've reflected on and want to be meaningful to the other person.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I'm in my home! I have a soothing backdrop of cherry blossoms and every so often you might see a cat in my lap.
More about me and my practice:
I'm an FAU graduate with my Master of Social Work, having graduated in 2010. I worked with teenagers in community mental health for 4 years and then transitioned to private practice in 2015.
