Monday thru Thursday, approximately 10:00 to 5:00.
My clients describe me as:
I try to be warm, accepting and intuitive. If you're not comfortable with me, I want to help you find someone with whom you will be.
Something to know about my approach is:
I am flexible, rarely giving homework, and rarely imposing structure (except for Trauma CPT or PE). I let you lead the way. My father taught me that people will tell you everything you want to know about them, if you just listen. :) He was right.
Together, we will:
Identify and understand what brought you to where you are and how it is affecting whatever issue you are having now. Then we strategize ways for you to better cope with your present. If we can untangle the past, it illuminates the present.
I specialize in working with people who:
I work with fully-functioning adults, high achievers, couples and occasionally, families. I am especially interested in victims of narcissistic or BPD family members.
I became a therapist because:
I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I took a Psych class in high school and it has fascinated me ever since. Plus, it benefits everyone!
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I love having my own office that reflects my personality and is comfortable and relaxing (or so I've been told). It's geographically convenient too.
More about me and my practice:
I have years of corporate experience (commercial real estate) in addition to being a counselor. I’ve worked in community mental health and worked in the ERs at Emory for 5 years. I also have extensive trauma training from the VA.
