I see clients on M, T, TH & Fri. My evenings are full but I typically can accommodate midday appt times.
My clients describe me as:
someone who just gets it. There's no right way to feel. I'm here to help normalize those emotions and work past them.
Something to know about my approach is:
Most of my work stems from Internal Family Systems. I often incorporate somatic experiencing & exposure therapy to support my clients. We'll do frequent check-in's to ensure we're on a path to progress.
Together, we will:
Embrace what we feel plague us. From overthinking, hyper-sensitivity around emotions to obsession; there's strength in all of these things. We'll use inner child/reparenting + attachment-style work to help you better understand yourself & your needs.
I specialize in working with people who:
struggle with relationship anxiety, body image, obsessive compulsive disorder, intrusive thoughts, childhood neglect & trauma as well as clients looking for a stable, neutral relationship with food and their bodies.
I became a therapist because:
my own therapy journey in healing from disordered eating, OCD and trauma transformed my world. I hope to offer my clients that same path to peace.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
that Waves Healing & Psychotherapy incorporates group work into the therapy process. We offer a variety of support/skills groups and healing circles.
More about me and my practice:
We offer virtual counseling in Illinois, Arizona and Florida. Waves Healing and Psychotherapy focuses on the power of the client. We offer holistic care and embrace a deep understanding of the mind and body to heal.
