My clients describe me as:
Compassionate, reliable, accepting therapist, able to explain in a language they can understand and apply the skills we are working on.
Something to know about my approach is:
I am a bilingual (English/Serbian, Bosnian, Croatian) therapist. I offer culturally informed therapy and acknowledge individual, intergenerational, historical, racial, and social trauma. These traumas are often at the root of modern human issues.
Together, we will:
As someone who grew up in unstable socio-political circumstances and as an immigrant, I have reinvented myself many times, and I can help you do the same. I am a fierce fighter for social justice and a supporter of oppressed people.
I specialize in working with people who:
Experience transitions and adjustments; in each of these, you deserve a safe and supportive space to talk about it in a relaxed, guided manner. I believe in the importance of language- how you talk to and about yourself and others.
I became a therapist because:
I've always been in helping professions, from teaching to various nonprofits (including EU projects). I deeply empathize with human experiences.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I work at two physical locations in Chicago (River West&Evanston), and I offer virtual therapy to Il clients.
