Direct, no nonsense, but deeply compassionate. They know I am completely dedicated to their well being and that together we can do great things.
Something to know about my approach is:
I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist which is a fancy way of saying I consider all the facets of my clients including their past, present & future, as well as their mental, physical and spiritual health in our search for optimal wellness.
Together, we will:
Sort through what's keeping you stuck, causing you pain, or holding you back. Whether it's relationships, chronic illness, grief, work stress, low self esteem, or trauma we can find ways to help you reclaim your life.
I specialize in working with people who:
Struggle with grief, anxiety and depression. Having personally survived all three, I know how it feels and I know how to help.
I became a therapist because:
My 16 year old son took his life in 2004. Since then I have committed myself to reaching out to others who sometimes get lost in dark places.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
As the Founder of Sound Mind Counseling, I am proud to offer warm, welcoming therapy spaces that feel like home.
More about me and my practice:
Right in the heart of the Northshore, Sound Mind Counseling has a unique understanding of this area and the common challenges people face. We love our community and pride ourselves on being a force for health and hope within it.
