My clients describe me as:
Honored to journey alongside people, allowing what must be deconstructed to be reconstructed. Dismantled to be replaced. Die to be resurrected.
Something to know about my approach is:
That I offer somatic work. Somatic Experiencing accesses the nervous system and allows the body to complete physiological responses that get stuck in the body during a traumatic event, or over time, as is the case in racial or childhood trauma.
Together, we will:
Navigate family conflicts. Immigrant parents & children of immigrants appreciate how I am sensitive to both traditional values and modern realities. I am also very comfortable with clients seeking to integrate spirituality into our therapeutic work.
I specialize in working with people who:
Want guidance through racial identity development. In May 2021, I presented on Racial Microaggressions and Protective Measures for Asian Americans at Northwestern University's Counseling Capstone Project Conference.
I became a therapist because:
My experiences convinced me that denial, grief, and ambiguous loss are all part of growth toward more mature psychological and spiritual stages.
