Warm, compassionate, and can be direct when necessary. While I maintain professionalism, I believe humor and being human are important parts too.
I am relational and goal oriented. First session is an assessment and plan for working together. I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), both of which are evidence-based practices.
Discuss what brought you to therapy, your story, and patterns. We will identify your goals and values that will guide you. We will process grief, self-esteem, and relationships that impact you. You will learn skills and strategies for improvement.
