We all find ways to cope with life’s disappointments, traumas and painful phases. The way we cope can help us survive, and yet those same survival skills can sometimes create suffering in our relationships, lead to eating disorders, addictions, or difficulty managing pain and illness. These issues are often what spur someone to first seek therapy.

In my work with clients, we utilize the process of psychotherapy to build insight and awareness to address the issues that are showing up right now. And we also examine the unique circumstances from your past that have led you to where you are today.

My clients describe me as a therapist who encourages them to be curious about themselves and to build self compassion. I approach my practice with the expectation that each client has their own unique process and timeline for building insight and creating the change. I am here to guide clients on their journey by fostering insight.

As a licensed clinical social worker, I specialize in treating eating disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, chronic illness, and issues related to aging. My approach is primarily rooted in psychodynamic therapy, but I also integrate other therapuetic interventions when appropriate to best meet the needs of my clients.

I hold a Master's in Social Work and am a certified Intuitive Eating Counselor. I entered the mental health field in 2005 and have owned my solo, private practice since 2017. My training includes extensive clinical supervision and coursework in the treatment of eating disorders and psychodynamic therapy.
