I see clients on Tuesdays through Fridays 9-5. Additionally, I have some evening availability.
My clients describe me as:
Affirming, empowering, and gentle.
Something to know about my approach is:
I integrate techniques from therapies like dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and positive psychotherapy into our work together. My approach to counseling is informed by social justice.
Together, we will:
Develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs, strengths, and goals. My mission is to help you accept yourself exactly as you are while also giving you the coping skills you need to build a more meaningful life.
I specialize in working with people who:
Want help regulating their emotions, improving their relationships, and coping with the stress and anxiety of work and school. I'm especially passionate about working with chronically ill clients and LGBTQ+ clients.
I became a therapist because:
When I suddenly developed a chronic illness as a young adult, I realized there was an incredible lack of mental health resources for disabled folks.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
There is an elevator to our second floor office space, and there is free and accessible parking in the parking garage adjacent to our building.
More about me and my practice:
I believe that everyone deserves therapy that is whole-heartedly affirming of their gender and sexual orientation. My office is a safe, affirming, empowering space for you to explore issues related to sexuality and gender.
