With empathy, genuineness, and humor, I seek to understand why my clients feel the way they do. I call myself a seasoned optimist.
During our initial sessions, we will explore the best way to process feelings in a way that feels safe and therapeutic. Validation and acceptance often bring my clients' symptom relief within a few sessions.
Together we'll figure out the best approach to treat your most pressing/distressing symptoms. From there, we'll continue to work through issues as they come up. Each client is unique, and I tailor the approach to each person's individual experience.
I enjoy working with people of all ages. I specialize in men's issues, especially emotion regulation and emotion identification. I also love working with men and women experiencing life transitions like job changes and different seasons of life.
While I've had my own share of life experiences, I remain hopeful about humanity. One thing I know for sure: things can - and do - get better.
I offer in-person therapy in a calm, relaxed, and safe office at a convenient Overland Park location, and I also offer telehealth sessions.
My goal is to help you feel truly seen. I want to create an environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment or shame. Together, we will work to create positive changes in your life.
