My clients describe me as:
As a therapist I am compassionate and supportive, yet direct and result oriented. I enjoy using humor in sessions as well!
Something to know about my approach is:
I am strongly informed by the Health at Every Size (HAES) philosophy. HAES is a social movement working to promote size-acceptance and lessen the cultural obsession with weight loss. I utilize CBT regularly in sessions.
Together, we will:
Together, we will work towards developing a healthier relationship with food, improving body image, and finding sustainable strategies for long-term recovery. We will set goals and implement effective change!
I specialize in working with people who:
are struggling with eating disorders such as binge eating disorder, bulimia and anorexia. I also work with people seeking treatment for non-eating related issues such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and more.
I became a therapist because:
I know first hand the value of quality therapy. I believe every individual can benefit from therapy!
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
walk and talk session! If appropriate, we will meet at a local park or trail and have our session while taking a peaceful stroll.
More about me and my practice:
I worked with a group practice for 10 years. I recently decided it was time to go out on my own! I look forward to offering walk and talk sessions, meal support, and groups.
