My clients describe me as:
Warm, curious, attentive, and a good balance of support vs challenge. Honest and open. Nonjudgmental, yet also direct and straightforward.
Something to know about my approach is:
I am a somatic therapist, meaning that we will do more than just talk. I like to work experientially, engaging the body and nervous system to explore your relationship to your emotions and the different parts of your psyche.
Together, we will:
Build an authentic and trusting relationship to support you in your healing and growth as a person. We will explore your relationship to pain, pleasure, intimacy, and vulnerability. You will learn new skills to overcome limiting patterns.
I specialize in working with people who:
Men (18-45) who struggle with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, sexual/pornography/addiction issues, and social isolation. As men we are not taught how to communicate our emotions, be vulnerable, and ask for help when we need it.
I became a therapist because:
I suffered from severe depression, anxiety and addiction issues in my early twenties, and I met a therapist who changed my life.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I help you gain more awareness of the signals of your body - for example, your breathing patterns indicate how safe you feel on an unconscious level.
More about me and my practice:
I am passionate about community-based healing. I currently run three therapy groups, and generally recommend most of my clients try group therapy after working 1-on-1 with me for a while. We all need more authentic group connection!
