Ann Arbor in-person and telehealth availability
My clients describe me as:
I strive to be compassionate, nonjudgmental and humble in all of my therapeutic interactions, embracing impermanence, adaptability and creativity.
Something to know about my approach is:
I am here to validate your inner experience, examine the ways in which you've adapted to your unique set of circumstances, and help you to develop the self-compassion and agency so important to emotional recovery.
Together, we will:
We'll work to challenge and dismantle beliefs which are making you feel stuck and/or disconnected, clarify your needs, and learn how to connect with your internal resources in order to meet them yourself and in relationship with others.
I specialize in working with people who:
You may feel unworthy or even defective, suffer from chronic anxiety/depression, struggle with boundaries, have a pervasive sense of things not being "real" (depersonalization/derealization), or turn to substances, self-harm, or isolation to cope.
I became a therapist because:
When I first experienced unconditional positive regard it sparked my own healing and I felt compelled to share this gift with others.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I am not overly fixated on diagnosis and view each therapeutic encounter as unique which I think opens space for greater authenticity and growth.
More about me and my practice:
My methods are trauma/neurobiologically-informed and evidenced-based, while remaining flexible and suited to your needs. I offer EMDR for those interested in an alternative to talk therapy for trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, etc.
