Tuesday-Saturday by appointment.
My clients describe me as:
I am kind, caring, and compassionate. I am non-judgmental, empathetic, and a good listener.
Something to know about my approach is:
My approach is client centered, so I will be present with you in the process of therapy, and respect where you are, and your goals. I believe in the resiliency of the human spirit, and that there is always the capacity for healing.
Together, we will:
Partner in exploring your gifts, strengths, and the issues that are important to you. This process can be fun and lighthearted, and I am also able to sit with your experience of pain, loss, and frustration.
I specialize in working with people who:
Youth, teens and adults who may feel overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, and may be dealing with life transition, trauma and loss. I use animal assisted therapy to add to the therapeutic process in connecting with animals and nature.
I became a therapist because:
I value the importance of learning more about ourselves, and how to navigate the challenges of life with the support of a therapeutic relationship.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
My office for in person sessions is on a farm, where nature, cats, dogs and horses are part of therapy sessions.
More about me and my practice:
I have a background in holistic health; a massage therapist for over 30 years, and yoga teacher over 25 years. I am also a yoga therapist, able to adapt yoga techniques to address mental health issues and wellbeing. Also, a lifelong animal lover.
