I work on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. I have more daytime openings on all days.
My clients describe me as:
Easy to talk to. It's important to me that people feel at ease when they are at their most vulnerable.
Something to know about my approach is:
I like to take things slow and get to know you in the beginning. Once some trust has been established, then we can work on the issues.
Together, we will:
Learn more about the nature of the issue. Build up your support system and coping skills. Work on examining your habits and connecting them to its root. Learn to accept things that can't be changed. Live a more peaceful life.
I specialize in working with people who:
Most of my experience in social work has been in trauma. I have worked with domestic violence survivors, families effected by violence. children who were abused and adults with childhood trauma. Violence against women is of a particular interest.
I became a therapist because:
I have always enjoyed helping people solve problems. I particularly enjoy the critical thinking parts of therapy as well.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I mean it's not that crazy now to offer online therapy but I do plan on continuing with online only long after COVID.
More about me and my practice:
I practice yoga regularly and it plays a role in how I provide therapy. This doesn't mean we do yoga in session (not yet anyway :)) but I do think the mindfulness principles I've learned have been so healing.
