My clients describe me as:
My approach to therapy is warm, respectful, collaborative, and curious. I use mindfulness and compassion-focused approaches.
Something to know about my approach is:
Compulsive and emotional eating can be difficult to manage . . . but with the right tools, it is NOT impossible! I bring the best of current research to create a truly mind/heart approach to healing.
Together, we will:
explore the way your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors come together to create the struggles you experience...explore the place food has played in your life... explore your unique strengths and values... and create a plan that works for you!
I specialize in working with people who:
struggle with emotion, compulsive, and binge eating. I believe that while eating issues can seem confusing on the surface, there is always a reason for eating. Once we understand the reason, we can begin to address this reason and begin to heal.
I became a therapist because:
I struggled with managing my emotions with food. I have learned from life experience and training how to manage my emotion-driving eating.
