My approach involves mindfulness-based strategies, CBT, somatic and DBT. You are the expert in your experience. I'm a believer in intuition and trusting your gut so I'll help you learn how to listen to yourself about your needs and wants.

Together, we will:

Discuss past parenting experiences, trauma, toxic relationships, learning to be assertive, daily routines & coping practices. Identify triggers for mood changes and anxiety. We will also identify cognitive distortions and how to eliminate them.

I specialize in working with people who:

Are highly sensitive and/or empathic? Identify as an "old soul"? Do you find yourself helping EVERYONE? Anxious and easily overwhelmed. Also, I work with those who have intuitive gifts they are learning to recognize and protect.

I became a therapist because:

I became a therapist after witnessing my aunt suffer from schizophrenia when I was in elementary school. The experience motivated me to be a therapist

Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:

Being virtual increases my reach and availability. The clinic where I practice also offers psychiatric services and TMS treatment for depression & OCD

I'm a highly sensitive person who has done many years of psychotherapy to process life experiences that impacted me. I'm also trained in Usui Reiki and refer to these teachings if my client wishes to intergrate energetic healing.
