Clients describe me as down to earth, warm, authentic, accepting, non judgmental, and supportive. I swear on occasion and make therapy a safe space.
Something to know about my approach is:
We'll start by learning your story, your values, background and what you want support around. We'll delve into how the expectations placed onto you from family and society have become internalized and sort out what stays and what needs to be healed.
Together, we will:
We will identify how all the systems around you have influenced the way you move through the world. We will explore your relationship with yourself and others. We'll gently unpack wounded parts so they are not so present in your everyday life.
I specialize in working with people who:
I work with ages 17 and up. I specialize in anxiety, depression, eating disorders, body image issues, college students and those who grew up in dysfunctional systems.
I became a therapist because:
I have always wanted to work on a deep level with people and am honored to be a therapist. I love what I do and truly enjoy the work with my clients.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I am located in downtown Northfield in a historic building. I work regular business hours and offer in person or virtual sessions.
More about me and my practice:
I take on a culturally sensitive lens, acknowledge my privileges and how this may impact your process in therapy. I also acknowledge how different levels of oppression impact mental health.
