I see clients 7am-6pm Central, Monday through Thursday
My clients describe me as:
authentic, action-oriented, and engaged. Clients often come to me after working with a generalist so they can work with someone who "gets" sport.
Something to know about my approach is:
I'm not your traditional talk therapist. Many of my interventions come from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I use analogies, assign homework, (gently) challenge clients, and provide actionable steps to get you where you'd like to be.
Together, we will:
identify your values, your helpful and unhelpful coping patterns, and talk through difficult thoughts and feelings. We'll then work through techniques that will help you cope with these thoughts & feelings when they arise.
I specialize in working with people who:
who consider themselves anxious achievers, people pleasers, and perfectionists. Most of my clients are endurance athletes, injured athletes, and athletes with ADHD.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
my PSYPACT license, which allows me to work with athletes across state lines and while they travel for events.
More about me and my practice:
I actively engage in sessions, using ACT interventions, concepts, and strategies. I use analogies and encourage athletes to embrace challenges while practicing self-compassion. I emphasize the importance of rest, finding joy, and trusting yourself.
