My clients describe me as:
a gentle guide that leads you into a brave space. I am compassionate but will also challenge you through active collaboration and guiding questions.
Something to know about my approach is:
I center my work on Black and brown communities. I take pride in getting to know you and working with your strengths to address your needs. I use approaches like mindfulness, CBT, and psychodynamic therapy to access unconscious blocks.
Together, we will:
explore practical tools to change what you can, and intentionally accept the unchangeable. There are many pathways in healing. This can be your brave space to reclaim your story, leaving with a healthier connection to yourself and the world.
I specialize in working with people who:
have challenges with attention, focus and planning, as I am an ADHD certified clinician. I am also experienced in treating anxiety, substance use, depression, acculturation stress and trauma. I prioritize building trust, safety, and collaboration.
I became a therapist because:
I enjoy being present and in community with others. My experience with loss makes me especially attuned to the importance of support.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I am holistic in my approach. I consider my clients' physical, emotional, and social wellbeing throughout the therapy process.
More about me and my practice:
I enjoy traveling with friends, dancing, reading, eating, and resting as a form of self-care. In the same way, I utilize my clients' hobbies and interests in treatment interventions.
