warm, inviting, supportive, respectful and genuinely passionate about providing culturally competent and accessible mental health services.
Something to know about my approach is:
I believe that the therapeutic process is a partnership. My therapeutic style is compassionate, direct, empathetic, and solution-focused. I use multiple evidence-based practice approaches to help clients reach their goals including CBT.
Together, we will:
create a therapeutic alliance that cultivates a space for you to feel safe to discuss and explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences through empowerment and collaboration.
I specialize in working with people who:
are experiencing depression, anxiety, substance use, grief/loss, trauma, women's issues, self esteem issues, work issues, and cultural issues/concerns.
I became a therapist because:
I want to create a safe, warm, healing environment to help you work through your thoughts, feelings, and experiences to improve your wellbeing.
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
Less than 7% of mental health professionals are black or African American, making it vital for me to show up in a space that is underrepresented.
More about me and my practice:
I believe anytime is a good time for therapy. Wherever you might find yourself in life, the use of therapy is a powerful tool. Everyone deserves to tap into their better self, sometimes it just takes some guidance and nurturing.
