My clients describe me as:
"practical", “conversational” and “non-judgemental”. I strive to create a safe space where your experiences are heard.
Something to know about my approach is:
I'm vocal about how generational trauma and social conditions impact the lives of marginalized people and their mental health. I'm well-versed in Intergenerational, Relational & Trauma therapies. I am also Level 1 trained in Internal Family Systems.
Together, we will:
Manage the outside constraints that can force us to operate in extreme ways, as we try to regain balance, harmony, and wholeness. I help people overcome longstanding issues, learn self-trust, release painful burdens, & build authentic relationships.
I specialize in working with people who:
are high achievers, perfectionists or people pleasers; People who may have experienced trauma but refuse to be defined by it. I serve those who are seeking change but are often fearful of what that change will entail.
I became a therapist because:
at one point in my life, I was surrounded by a lot of loss and people who were grieving. I wanted to know how to comfort them in their time of need.
More about me and my practice:
At Hummmingbird MFT, we believe we can learn from the nature of a Hummingbird: To be adaptable, have the stamina for whatever comes across our path, as well as to honor and find joy in the small things in life, while letting go of what may burden us.
