Compassionate, non-pathologizing, and empowering. Clients describe the work as "going deep" and typically stay in therapy for a year or more.
I guide clients in a deep, gentle exploration of mind & body to connect with parts of themselves that have taken on strategies—like perfectionism, people-pleasing, suppressing needs, or numbing emotion—to help them through life’s pain & suffering.
Find where your hurt is coming from and help the parts of you that have carried & hidden deeply painful emotional burdens to release that pain. When this happens, you & others get to enjoy the true nature of YOU—calm, confident, & connected—at last.
Are struggling with chronic pain or illness, or are in their 20s & 30s and feeling anxious or depressed, having problems in relationships or at work, or feeling dissatisfied because they feel they are not the person they wanted to be in adulthood.
The right support changes lives. Our society's shortage of compassion & tolerance affects us all negatively. Here, you are welcome exactly as you are.
A naturally lit office in an accessible building with free parking, located between Chapel Hill and Durham very close to I-40 and 15-501.
My goal is for clients to experience transformative, lasting relief. While they can be helpful, lists of tools & tricks for coping cannot alone produce this result -- so, yes, that means we'll talk about your childhood. We are all children at heart!
