I am warm, candid, and collaborative. I am active in session, balancing careful listening with inquiry with practical feedback.
I take an individualized, integrative approach. I work to establish an authentic therapeutic relationship and believe in its potential to help people better understand themselves. I also use structured, skills-based interventions (CBT, DBT).
Better understand how your past experiences are impacting your present functioning, identify and capitalize on your strengths, and help you to use skills (some of which you already have!) to reduce distress and give you confidence and clarity.
Although I work with people from all walks of life, I tend to fit best with those experiencing a significant transition, struggling to integrate the personal and the professional, or questioning aspects of their identity, values, or relationships.
I currently work in both private practice and as a clinical assistant professor at an academic medical center, where I am actively involved in teaching, psychotherapy training, and psychological assessment.
