I'm a small town girl from Mississippi, funny, direct, and relatable. After only a brief moment, you will feel like we've known each other for life.
Something to know about my approach is:
I'm energetic, honest & build rapport quickly. I enjoy working with women who feel overwhelmed by life's challenges and have turned to substances (drugs and/or alcohol) to cope. We will work to overcome the negative consequences of addiction.
Together, we will:
Work to develop coping skills that promote a life of abstinence in recovery. We will also work together to gain more compassion and confidence in your ability to live life in healthy relationships by learning to set healthy boundaries.
I specialize in working with people who:
are in their first year of recovery and struggle to see themselves positively, as God sees you. To break through barriers that cause you to view yourself with a poor self-image and learn to give yourself grace and self-forgiveness.
I became a therapist because:
I was raised in a home where addiction was present and feelings of worthlessness challenged relationships that led to a striving for perfection.
More about me and my practice:
I enjoy working with mother's who are striving to overcome the effects of addiction, while being the best mother to her child(ren) and maintaining a healthy connection with God and herself.
