I am available weekday evenings M-Th. after 5pm.
My clients describe me as:
I am a good listener who can relate to many types of clients. I identify as a Christian counselor and present my genuine self in every session.
Something to know about my approach is:
I believe in a holistic view of counseling, this means that I look at the whole person, thoughts, feelings, behaviors, emotions, spirituality and relationships. When in session, I mainly use techniques from Restoration Therapy, CBT and ACT.
Together, we will:
Identify your strengths and barriers to develop a treatment plan that will lead you toward the life you desire. I will teach skills and techniques to help you overcome barriers and maximize your strengths. We will focus on your identified goals.
I specialize in working with people who:
are struggling with anxiety, depression, feeling overwhelmed, stress, going through life transitions, struggling with self worth and negative thinking, experiencing panic or physical symptoms of anxiety, military families and veterans and teens.
I became a therapist because:
I began as a special education teacher and saw a need for more in depth personal work with people in a wholistic approach. I love working with people
Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:
I work from home so you will notice my love for sea life in the background art and huge fish tank. I also enjoy sci-fi and gaming and scuba diving.
More about me and my practice:
I work part time with a group practice called Better Self. There are 5 counselors in our group licensed to provide services in 10 states. This is my side gig so I have limited times available and typically work 8-10 hours per week for the group.
