About Me:

  • My clients describe me as:

Working with me is like feeling heard, having space to talk, and getting feedback to explore solutions. Sometimes send little text recaps.

  • Something to know about my approach is:

I like to help individuals deconstruct negative self thoughts or perfectionist tendencies that get in the way of living a life you value. I also help explore past trauma and reflect on career aspirations. I mainly use CBT and DBT methods.

  • Together, we will:

I will help you process trauma, cope with anxiety, and let go of perfectionism to gain clarity. Connect with yourself, your values and develop boundaries. Learn emotional regulation, mindfulness, and interpersonal relationships. Lean in to your life.

  • I specialize in working with people who:

Are in some sort of life transition and looking to cope with the challenges it brings up. I have helped those experiencing high levels of anxiety and depression, the future planners, and people who focus a lot on others aka "people pleasers".

  • I became a therapist because:

I love helping people uncover their own beliefs, values, and boundaries. I want you to truly connect with yourself.

  • Something that stands out about where I offer therapy is:

I offer therapy in-person in Weaverville in an office downtown and via telehealth.

  • More about me and my practice:

I have experience working with people of all ages. I am in my 30s, married, and have a pup I love. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming. Antiracism focused. Fun fact: I love visiting national parks and backpacking. More at my Instagram @MyersCoachingandCounseling
